Content sharing sites ’so hot right now’
October 8th, 2009Those using shared web hosting can look to share something else: content. According to Amanda Brooke, writing for Drop Ship Access, shared content sites such as YouTube and MySpace are the hottest thing on the internet at the current time.
She explained that content sharing can work because of Web 2.0 and there are plenty of uses for such websites. This includes marketing, as blogging and content sharing brings a new dimension to promoting a product or brand, Ms Brooke commented.
Content sharing can also be utilised for educational purposes as well, with homeschoolers, students and everyone involved in the teaching and learning process using these sites to improve the experience, she commented.
For the first time ever, Ms Brooke added, the general public can interact directly with government and politicians because of content sharing websites.
Maggie Shiels, Technology reporter for BBC News, reported in a recent article for the BBC that Blogger has been going for ten years and now has more than 300 million active readers.
