Joomla says ‘vote for us’

Web hosting users and others are being encouraged to vote for Joomla! as a finalist in the Hall of Fame and Best Open Source PHP CMS Awards sponsored by Packt Publishing.

The organisation said that now is the time to be celebrating its successes after the news of Access Control Lists (ACL) implemented in Joomla 1.6 and the growth of all parts of the Joomla Project.

It named a number of achievements the Joomla community has reached, including more than 1,000 sites in the Site Showcase and close to 13 million downloads.

Web hosting users can also vote for best extension and best template as well as nominate someone who you think is a Joomla Most Valuable Player.

The company thanked everyone who nominated Joomla for the Best Open Source PHP CMS Award.

Joomla, a content management system, is used by a variety of organisations including Harvard University and MTV Networks Quizilla.
