Christian.com set for October auction

The domain name Christian.com is set to go on sale on October 27th in New York City, which may excite new web hosting users.

It will be auctioned off while the Targeted Redirects and Financial Fulfillment Internet Conference (Traffic) domain conference takes place.

President of Rick Latona Auctions David Clements said that it is an "amazing domain".

"Christian.com is an ideal name for Christian book publishers, Christian record labels, large churches, ministries and many other business models," Mr Clements commented.

He claimed that the potential for marketing and branding with the domain name "is limitless" and a number of organisations across the world have already showed an interest in it, possibly as a pre-auction purchase.

Mr Clements also noted that the domain name was ranked number two on Google.com for the search term ‘Christian’ at the time of the announcement.

In related news, the first Traffic event of 2010 is to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from January 21st to 23rd.
