Here's a quick guide to the first steps you'll need to take to get your account up and running:

To register a new domain for free as part of your reseller plan just click the following link http://www.justhost.com/signup-reseller. We will automatically register your domain and set your nameservers to ours.


Transfer an existing domain?

If you signed up for a JustHost reseller plan and selected "I already own my domain" and you'd like to transfer your domain you will also need to point your nameservers to ours which are:

NS1: ns1.rhostjh.com

NS2: ns2.rhostjh.com

All you need to do is pass these new nameservers into your current host/registrar and have them update them. You will need to allow 24 hours for the DNS to propagate, you should not experience any downtime.

Private Nameservers

Resellers signing up for an account with a new domain will automatically have their private nameservers registered for them. These will be ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com.

If you are transferring your domain over to Just Host, you will need to register your nameservers with your existing domain registrar. The IP addresses to be used for these nameservers will be available within your welcome email.

As soon as you've received your welcome email from Just Host you can login to your control panel and start using your account.

Setting up your Packages

Your reseller control panel will be WHM which you can access here: http://yourdomain.com/whm and login using the details sent in your welcome email.

Once you are logged in please follow the below steps:

  • Click on Add Package under Packages on the left hand navigation bar
  • Fill in the required details for the package such as Quota and Bandwidth

It is wise to remember to be fair when allotting space and bandwidth. Keep a close eye on what your clients are loading onto their sites as some may require more space and bandwidth.

The domain you have registered or transferred to us will be your primary domain which comes with very little disk space and bandwidth. After you create your hosting packages, you MUST upgrade your site to one of your newly created packages. Please remember to never delete your main site with us. If you do, your reseller account will no longer work.

Quick Links to your account

"Before propagation" as it is defined below is the point between when you sign up and when the changes to your name servers take effect (usually about 24 hours after you change your name servers).

  • "After propagation" is once your site is up and running normally.
  • During propagation, you should use the "Before propagation" format.
  • x.x.x.x should be replaced with ip address assigned to your account. You will get this in your welcome email once you sign up.

Your Billing Account

Your reseller account will be renewed automatically according to the term you signed up for. This means if you chose to pay monthly we will renew your account with the current payment method each month. If you chose to pay by PayPal please ensure your subscription is active to make sure your account stays active. Please remember if your card changes PayPal will automatically cancel your subscription so you will need to activate a new one. Please email resellerbilling@justhost.com if you have any questions regarding this.

If you wish to upgrade your account at any time please email resellerbilling@justhost.com, if you wish to cancel your account please email resellerbilling@justhost.com.
